Kouwenhoven House - White shingled house on the north side of Old Mill Road (now 63rd Road), between 98th St. and 99th St. (it became 98-23 63rd Road). Belonged to William G. Kouwenhoven married Alletta Remsen of Hempstead Swamp and was Here 1852, 1860, 1873. Later was Herman Mueller, a marketman for Vanderveer, Who Died Here. In 1923 Herman Werner, Mueller's Son-In-Law, lived here.
