Grand Union Hotel

Manhattan: Park Avenue - 41st Street

Grand Union Hotel, Park Avenue, east side, from 4lst to 42nd Streets, also showing the new Grand Central Station and the old spur of the Third Avenue Elevated, which will be taken down
in 1944.
The Grand Union was to a great extent built by acquistion of old houses in the block, intervening walls being knocked out and rooms remodelled. The whole is shown shortly before demolition. Compare this with later pictures of the same block.
1914.
Gift of E.M. Jenks.
