Brevoort Hotel was located on Fifth Avenue between East 8th and 9th Streets. It was razed in 1954 for the 19-story Brevoort apartments. The hotel was closed at the end of July 1948 because it could no longer meet state safety laws. NY Herald-Tribune artic
