103 (left) and 101 (corner) West 73rd Street, 1941. This pair of brick Renaissance Revival buildings was designed by Henry Hardenbergh in 1879-1880. No. 103 was once in a row of 25 similar rowhouses designed by Hardenbergh for the developer Edward Clark; it is the only remaining structure of the row. No. 101 (also known as 280-284 Columbus Avenue) is a small apartment building with grey stripes painted on the ground level. These are the oldest surviving Hardenberg-designed buildings in New York City.
