“Lafayette Avenue, north side, east from St. Felix Street to Fulton Street, showing a row of old houses, Nos. 39 to 53. The second building bears the inscription: ‘Morrison Dining Saloon.’ 1922." The rowhouses on this site were demolished between 1982-1986, creating a small green space known as “BAM Park” for the Brooklyn Academy of Music campus nearby. A 2012 study showed high levels of contaminants in the park’s soil, and it is currently slated for remediation and redevelopment.
