Manhattan: 6th Avenue - 11th Street (West)

Sixth Avenue, west side, south from W. 11th Street, showing the old Jefferson Market Court at 10th Street. This is silhouetted against the new Detention House for Women, an adjoining building.

The photographer's vantage point is at the S. E. corner of 12th Street. This southwestward view is possible because of recent removal of the old 6th Avenue "E1" line.
