The hearth is believed to be the only one of its kind in a local school and bolsters Assistant Superintendent of Schools Joseph C. Noethen's claim that P. S. 20 \[located at 225 Adelphi Street] is'the most modern school in New York City.' ..."

It was all part of celebration marking UNESCO Week at P. S. 20, \[225] Adelphi St. and Willoughby Ave., in which youngsters exhibited articles collected by relatives and friends in foreign lands."
