Manhattan: 22nd Street (West) - 5th Avenue 1-47 West 22nd Street, adjoining N.W. corner of Fifth Ave. The gap between buildings marks a vacant lot, 37-45 West 22nd Street. No. 5 West 22nd Street, site of home of Samuel F.B. Morse—Tablet on present building reads: "In this house Samuel F.B. Morse lived for many years and died. This tablet removed from building formerly on this site and replaced A.D. 1900." A picture of the original house and tablet is in: Wilson, R.R. New York old and new, 1902, Vol. 1, facing page 366.
