21, 19 Fifth Avenue, at ans adjoining the S. E. corner of the 9th Street. No. 21, the corner house, was the home of Mark Twain [Samuel L. Clemens] from 1904 to the middle of 1908. In 1925 the Greenwich Village Association placed a tablet on the north wall commemorating both Mark Twain and Washington Irving, who was at one time a guest in this house.
