Grolier Club
Post
47 East 60th Street, 1922. The Grolier Club is the oldest existing bibliophilic (a fancy way of saying literary) club in North America. Founded in 1884, they have occupied three locations in their history. In 1917 the club moved into this neo-Georgian townhouse designed for them by famed architect Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue. Unsurprisingly, the building's interiors were designed to prominently display their book collections.
