96 Second Avenue Building Date : 1845, 1916 Original Use : Residential Original Owner : George B. Weeks (1845), Bernard Barth (1916) Original Architect : Unknown (1845), Henry M. Entlich (1916) Description & Building Alterations This four-story row house was originally built in 1845, and major alterations occurred in 1879 and 1916. The present Arts & Crafts-style facade was installed in 1916 during alterations designed by Henry M. Entlich, along with the two-story storefront. It features patterned brickwork, header brick lintels and a stepped parapet with stone coping blocks. The second story show windows are divided by fluted columns, with a paneled and molded crown above. The original stoop was removed in 1879.

92 Second Avenue Building Date : 1903-04 Original Use : Residential/Commercial Original Owner : Saul Wallenstein Original Architect : Horenburger & Straub Description & Building Alterations This six-story, Renaissance Revival-style new law tenement building was erected in 1903-04 with stores in the cellar and on the first floor with apartments for 22 families. The facade features curved side bays, molded window enframements with bracketed window sills, and pedimented, scrolled, and splayed lintels. Other features include terra-cotta beltcourses and a bracketed roof cornice decorated with festoons.

88-90 Second Avenue Building Date : 1903-04 Original Use : Residential/Commercial Original Owner : Julius Weinstein Original Architect : Bernstein & Bernstein Description & Building Alterations This six-story new law tenement and store building was constructed in 1903-04, designed by architect Bernstein & Bernstein for owner Julius Weinstein. The building facade features pedimented, curved, and splayed window lintels, balconettes with urns, elaborate spandrels, and a bracketed cornice with swags underneath. The entrance facing Second Avenue is enclosed in an arched portico, with attached Corinthian columns, a foliated keystone, scrolled brackets, and frieze panels. The building has an ornate wrought-iron fire escape.
