91 Lafayette Avenue, 1940. The building at the northeast corner of South Portland Avenue and Lafayette Avenue is the only remaining house of what was once a row of old brownstones. Addresses 93-99 were demolished in 1936 to building a new 10 story apartment building, which still stands.
