Image represented is one of a related set (HOLI 0294), some of which may also be described in this new record; Two views of Prospect Park during the annual Anniversary Day parade of the Brooklyn Sunday School Union; 0294 shows a large procession of mothers with small children and baby carriages, with many bystanders in observance; 0298 shows close-up view of children seated in a float, with mothers and young women looking at them in the background. Captions on versos: "Young Paraders on Long Meadow: Above [0294], a division of 100,000 gay Sunday School children who marched in 26 colorful parades to the plaudits of 500,000 onlookers. Right, above [0298], wide-eyed youngsters from St. Matthew's Emanuel Lutheran Church ride by in a float. Perfect weather yesterday brought out one of largest crowds, both of child participants and adult onlookers, since first Anniversary Day parade back in the 1820s."
