"Beth Abraham Chasidim D'Slonim Synagogue, June 6, 1930. The congregation, named for the city of Slonim in present-day Belarus, was organized in 1897. The synagogue appears on early 20th century maps, though a building existed on its lot much earlier. In subsequent years, congregations associated with other Eastern European immigrant communities worshipped there. By the mid 1980s (when its lot is vacant in tax photos), the synagogue had been was demolished. The Rabbi Jacob Joseph School (left), organized in 1901, was built in 1912-3."
