Church of the Messiah at Clermont and Greene Avenues, ca. 1910. After a fire destroyed the steeple of the Greene Avenue Presbyterian Church (as it was called in the early part of the century), it was rebuilt with its distinctive beehive tower. A five-alarm fire in February 1969 rendered the building unsalvageable.
