[De-icing street]

Back view of sanitation truck releasing lines of chemicals on snow-covered street; two men on either side of truck. Caption on verso: "A Brooklyn street coated with ice was reduced to a mass of slush yesterday morning when a private company showed city engineers its method of chemical snow removal. Above is the specially equipped truck as it sprayed calcium chloride on Livingston St. between Clinton St. and Sidney Pl."
