At some point owned by the Ditmars Family. hand written on back of print: Kouwenhoven Farmhouse, as per Homeyer white shingled Boulevard just north of Ditmars Avenue Dr Abram D Ditmars 1860 became the first Mayor of LIC Resided in this house (as per Van Riper) until 1876 when he removed to Brooklyn. He Married in 1876 Lavinia Riker (+1886) daughter of John L. Riker of Newtown. Dr. Dow Ditmars who came from Jamaica 1816 was the owner 1852 Long Island City 1922

This house is on the site of the Daniel Mawrence house which was erected in 1719. In 1852 Dr. Dow Ditmars was the occupant. February 9, 1932 P. L.
