The same, a closer and an unobstructed view, showing the Federal Hall replica. This is a copy of the old New York City Hall which stood on Wall Street at Nassau, and which became the property of the Federal government when New York became the temporary capital of the country, in 1789. President Washington was inaugurated on its balcony; and that scene was reenacted here in 1932.
