They call it 'croquinole'

Caption: "They call it 'croquinole'"--Not all of the games are confined to the athletic field or court of P. S. 29 [at 425 Henry Street]. For those who prefer more leisurely competitive endeavors, 'croquinole,' a combination of checkers and pool, is always available. Indulging in the pastime are Joseph Motisi, 8, of 13 3d St., left, and Vincent Nosta, 12, of 390 Henry St., as Georgianna Costello, 8, of 401 Henry St., bubbles with spectator-itis."
