The Pagoda Theater (1963-1996) was the last new Lee commission built in Chinatown, straddling the boundary between the modern Chinese style and Orientalist kitsch.Opened in 1964, the Pagoda Theater, a Chinese motion-picture house on 11 East Broadway was designed with a three-tiered pagoda jutting upward from the roof's corner.
