New Vanderveer House - View from about 73rd Ave. looking north to the Vanderveer House at the SW corner of Metropolitan Ave. & Trotting Course Lane (Woodhaven Blvd.). At right is one of several frame barns and outbuildings on and near the line of current 73rd Ave. between Woodhaven Blvd. and Trotting Course Lane. The house, built 1850 by Henry Suydam Vanderveer, was moved here to this site in 1880, the outbuildings date from 1880 and after. Photo taken April 1923.
