Woodhaven Railroad Station

A view east along the south side of Atlantic Avenue from the Long Island Rail Road crossing at 87th Street. Several figures are seen on the tracks and near the Woodhaven station platform. Advertising bills pasted to the buildings at right promote auto races at Cedarhurst, the Mineola Fair, Jamaica Day and motion pictures at the Loews Willard theater at 96-01 Jamaica Avenue, Woodhaven. The small street sign on the utility pole in the foreground right clearly reads " 87th Street", but also includes, in smaller letters, it's former designation, "Benedict Ave".
