Newtown - Jarvis Jackson House and Barn - Forest Hills

Jarvis Jackson House and Barn - View looking north toward the house (at right) and barn from about line of current 67th Road. The barn and house fronted on Jacksons Lane (about on line of 66th Road), between 108th St. and 110th St. The house was built around 1820 after an older house burned down. Ascan Backus acquired the property, and was owned by J.D. Backus in 1891, 1896. Photo was taken April 1923.
