Queens: 2nd Street - 27th Avenue

2nd Street, east side, between 27th and Astoria Avenue, showing the Judge Munson House, a stone structure built in 1840 by Stephen A. Halsey. It was occupied by Captain Munson in 1866. From 1889 to 1896 the house was the Long Island City High School and later became Public School No. 9. E. L. Armbruster is authority for the above data.
