Newtown - Judge Jonathan T. Furman House - Middle Village
Judge Jonathan T. Furman House - J.T. Furman owned in 1852, 1860, and 1873. Furman also served as Sheriff of Queens County. C. Monkemeyer owned the house in 1891, 1896, and Possenried occupied in 1922. It was located on the west side of Dry Harbor Rd. between Cowles Court and 64th Road, on the site of current 80-16 and 80-20 Cowles Court. The house was built circa 1750, and burned down in 1928.
