Newtown - Van Duyn House - Glendale

Van Duyn House - The house was built circa 1736, on the west side of Trotting Course Lane (Woodhaven Blvd.), south of Metropolitan Ave. just south of Vanderveer House near the line of current 73rd Ave. (Vanderveer property just to the right of the Fence). The house was near the south end of the Old Van Duyn (Van Dine) Farm. Garret Van Dine, Son of Dominicus (1757-1830) owned the farm in 1852, in 1860 Hunt owned, and the owner was Thomas Wolfert (J. Wolford) in 1873. Photo taken May 1923.
