10th Street (formerly Amos Street), east from and including Greenwich
Avenue, showing the Jefferson Market Courthouse and clock tower
(1875) on the S.W. corner of Sixth Avenue, and the Cushman Bakery
on the N.E. corner of Greenwich Avenue. This branch of the
Cushman chain is the original Cushman store, established in this
building in 1854.
The car track in the foreground is the westbound track of the 8th
Street crosstown surface line.
