Human beings eat here

Caption: "Human beings eat here--Despite a beam precariously lodged in the ceiling--the unrepaired remains of a fire in the 'rear house' at 159 Harrison Ave.--a couple uses this kitchen daily. Chief Assistant District Attorney Edward S. Silver (left) and Assistant District Attorney Joseph P. Hoey note the beam during an inspection tour yesterday which resulted in a borough-wide drive against such dwellings."
