Operation big switch

Caption: "Operation big switch--Norman H. Free, manager of the Hotel St. George, ... A. Sloan Mayo, Long Island Service Manager for the New York Telephone Company, and Mrs. Ruth H. Foster, supervisor, watch Mrs. Agnes McMann plug in first call to come through the hotel's new automatic flash and ringer board. The ceremony marked the transfer of the hotel's 3,000 odd telephones to a completely new central switchboard circuit--the first of its kind for the hotel world."
