Image represented is one of a related set (SCHL 0628, SCHL 0627, SCHL 0626), some of which may also be described in this new record; Four views of The Board of Education building at 110 Livingston Street, three showing workmen presumably renovating interior and exterior of building. Built by McKim, Mead & White in 1926 as a clubhouse for the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, it became the headquarters for the New York City Board of Education on May 14, 1940.
