Image represented is one of a related set (SCHL 1066), some of which may also be described in this new record; Caption (1073): "Ambulance for Red Cross--Manual Training High School [later renamed John Jay High School and located at 237 Seventh Avenue] present an ambulance to the Red Cross in memory of former students killed in action. Left to right: Maj. Nana Rice (in ambulance) receives keys from Dr. Horace Mann Snyder, who was principal when the money was collected, Louise M. Harris of the faculty, William W. Barlow, principal, and Gladys Schmidt and Abraham Finegold of the faculty." 1066 shows the same ambulance transporting workers from the Industrial Home for the Blind located at 57 Willoughby Street.
