Newtown - Steiger's Hotel - Middle Village

Steiger's Hotel - Located on the south side of Metropolitan Ave. (Old No. 1754), between the Myrtle Avenue elevated terminal and the cemetery entrance. Eschelman built and helped run it this hotel. Signs on front advertise Trommer's Malt Brew (a Prohibition Era drink) and Long Island Duck Dinners. Currently the site is home to "Rentar Plaza", a mall.
