Modest beginnings--the multi-million dollar Brooklyn public school system of today came to life in this one-room schoolhouse founded 290 years ago in Bedford Village. It officially became P. Presumably the location is Franklin Avenue and Hancock Street where the Bedford Branch of Brooklyn Public Library, completed in 1905, was built.
