Newtown - Forbell House - Glendale

Forbell House - Old No. 80 Dry Harbor Rd. (81st St.). H. Forbell owned this house in 1790, W. Forbell in 1820-74, and A.C. Forbell in 1873. Heinrich Schmidt owned the house and farm from 1882-1930s. The Freitag family, and farm laborers occupied this house and farm 1890s-1912, working on Schmidt's farm. The house was demolished in 1938 , when the farm sold for development and the building of 77th Ave. Industrial building in rear is in the Atlas Terminal property north of the rail road.
