Newtown - Metropolitan Avenue - Middle Village

Metropolitan Avenue - Looking east from a point west of 65th St. toward the north side of Metropolitan Ave. On the far left are steps to the Mager House (now the Hess-Miller Funeral Home, at 64-19 Metropolitan Ave.). The peaked house in the center is the former single story Charles Way House, second story added to "50 Yrs. Ago" by Conrad Arzberger (now 65-01, and 65-03 Metropolitan Ave.) The next flat roof house was built 1890 by Charles Ehrman and is now 65-05 Metropolitan Ave., next is Robert Burroughs House (now 65-07 Metropolitan Ave.)
