The buildings on the S.W. corner of 39th Street are being demolished. The house on the N.W. corner has been occupied by the Princeton Club since 1923. In the background, from left to right, three skyscrapers tower, The New York Trust Company's building at 277 Madison Avenue, the Lefcourt Colonial Building at 297 Madison Avenue (S.E. corner of 4lst Street), and the Lincoln Building at 60 East 42nd Street, the first built in
1931 and the other two late in 1929.
