The hard way

Caption: "The hard way--To learn a part fast an actress has to be able to concentrate. Part of an actress' training in the Girls Commercial [High School] dramatics course is doing math problems while another of the class [is] ... being distracting. Doing their math are Lorice Zakaib, left, and Sary Fleischer, right. Distracting them is Ann Maresca." The school, located at 883 Classon Avenue, later changed its name to Prospect Heights High School.
