Manhattan: Broome Street - Hudson Street

Entrance to the Holland Vehicular Tunnel, site of 578-582 Broome Street,north side, east of Hudson Street, showing four policemen and a toll collector keeping order as pleasure cars take the plunge into the tile lined tunnel, nearly a mile long. The office at the right is trying to look severe and dignified, much to the amusement of the one in the right rear of the group.
