Worst block no longer

Caption: "Worst block no longer--James Mclaine, 9, of 539 Dean St., is the first child down this slide in the playground [at an unidentified location] dedicated yesterday on what was once called 'the worst block in Brooklyn.' Looking on are, left to right, City Council President Vincent R. Impellitteri, Borough President Cashmore, the Rev. Dr. Edward Lodge Curran and Park Commissioner Robert Moses."
