Madison Avenue, east side, from 38th to 37th Streets, showing the Fraternity Clubs Building, 22 East 38th Street, built by the Allerton House interests about 1923, on the lot formerly occupied by South Church (Dutch Reformed). In the middle of the block is the Hotel Duane, about contemporary with it, occupying the site of 237-239 Madison Avenue, the two old four-story houses which used to stand there. On the N.E. corner of 37th Street is the old Delmar Mansion, which has been occupied since 1923 by the National
Democratic Club.
