300 to 310 E. 37th Street, at, adjourning and east of the S. E. corner of Second Avenue (right), as viewed south westward from: a point midway between First and Second Avenues. Proriently shown is St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church established here August 15, 1859 by the Rev. William H. Clowry. The late Cardinal Farley, then a Monsignor, was pastor from 188d to 1902. His assistant ouring part of that time was the subseouent Cardinal, Patrick J. Hayes. For an account of the last Mass held here, see the New York Times of January l6, 1939.
Demolition will occur in June 1939.
