Croton Aqueduct Department. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. Plan and sections showing the elevation for the new Croton receiving reservoir. Its construction coincided with that of Central Park and its naturalized shape was planned to fit in with the design of the park. The original Croton receiving reservoir (1842) is visible at 86th Street as is the street grid that was erased by the park. September 14, 1860.
