Newtown - Remsen House - Rego Park

Remsen House - East side Trotting Course Lane opposite Cooper Ave., about 400 north of Metropolitan Ave. Abraham Remsen Settled here circa 1700, the family burial ground is south of the house. The home later belonged to the Weeden and Kinsey Families in the 19th Century. Pennsylvania Railroad Owned 1923, while John Wolfert occupied. The house was torn down by August 1925.
