Newtown - Judge Jonathan T. Furman House - Middle Village

Judge Jonathan T. Furman House - J.T. Furman owned in 1852, 1860, and 1873. This view is of the east and south sides of the house on the west side of Dry Harbor Road north of Furmanville Ave., current 80-16 and 80-20 Cowles Court. Visible far in the background to the right of the house are the Elmhurst Gas Tanks just south of Grand Ave. The Furman House was built circa 1750, and burned down in 1928.
