Manhattan: East River Drive - 78th Street (East)

East River Drive, north from the foot of East 78th St., as photographed from the over-pass leading to the Welfare Island Ferry. The structural details appearing are at 81st Street. Beyond are the apartment buildings that surround Carl Schurz Park, constituting Gracie Square. At the left of View 1 is the narrow triangular apartment house that separates this new thoroughfare from East End Avenue. For earlier photos of this area, see Marie Curie Avenue or Exterior Street.
